I've been to the church
There's a lot of Scandinvian cultural associations in Paris but they are much more for French people and in French than for Danes and in Danish.
The only place where I can meet Danes and speak with them in Danish is at the Danish Church, closed to the Champs Elysées.
I'm atheist but not narrow minded.Danes who are religious are ...religious but usually very open minded too so this church is a religious place of course but also a meeting point open for everyone. Danes are used to meet there and organize a lot of activities: movie night, social events, singing class...all that for free!
Yesterday I've been at the office to get information and yesterday evening I've been for my 1st movie night. We watched a Danish thriller. It's so good to hear Danish, only Danish here in Paris. This church is like a little Danmark. I spoke with some people and I felt this cosyness (hygge) one can find in Danmark.
I'm very glad for it! On Thursday I'll try my very first singing lesson in Danish. If you're in Paris, think about your umbrella on Friday LOL!
