When I first arrived in Århus 5 years ago it was during the festival. I remember I liked it: a lot of free concerts and shows in the street, good music, nice stands but I do not remember what theme it was. Every year, a theme is supposed to be the thread of the festival. I don't know why but I've never find the link between the theme and the activities. One year, I don't remember which one, the theme was about Asia. Believe me or not: nothing was asiatic but a group of Japanese drummers and a dance company from Viet-Nam. As far as I remember, the highlight was a concert by a Danish pop singer. Well, that's not a critic at all but then why is there any theme?

This year, I don't know what the theme was. I don't really care. I've been down town for both the opening and closing evening. Usually, streets are overcrowded there're stands everywhere. Not this year. It was very quiet for a festival' night and everybody were leaving when we arrived about 12:00.
No problem, we finished the evening in one of Århus cosiest pub. In fact, Århus has a lot of nice bars and pubs.
