Without a notice it can be difficult to know how to use Japanese toilets and what all those buttons are for...

By entering any toilets in Japan you'll be amazed by the noise. It seems like 100 persons are pulling the flush at the same time. I knew about it before going to Japan but it is very impressing to hear it the 1st time.
In fact, nobody should hear you when you're in the toilets. So, what better that a flush melodi to cover the sound of your very private activity? But it's not very convenient to flush away all the time and it probably costs a fortune. Japan is a paradise for technology and so are toilets. While you're sitting confortably you can choose between different options to take care of you (or at least of your lower part). There's a button for the flush melodi, an other for water spray, an other for water and the must: you can adjust the pressure. Be very carefull with the pressure if you don't want flood the entire bathroom as I did.

In some place you find sophisticated Turkish toilets. So sophisticated that a notice is needed to know how to use them.
